Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) Compliance Services
Effective 1 April 2020, landlords of domestic rental properties across England and Wales are required to comply with the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES). This legislation mandates that properties must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘E’ or higher to remain legally rentable. Properties rated ‘F’ or ‘G’ require upgrades to meet the new standards to avoid penalties.
